Music above all…

This sums up the city of Salzburg - not surprising, considering that more than 4000 musical and theatrical events across all genres take place here in the course of one year. Annual high lights are the classical music festival in August, the Autumn of Jazz in November and the Mozart Week in January. In addition, there are innumerable orchestras and chamber concerts, serenades and solo concertos taking place in the most beautiful reception rooms of Salzburg's Palaces (like the famous concerts in the Marble Room of the Palace of Mirabell), as well as pop and rock concerts, performances in the Town Theatre and the well known Puppet Theatre, not to mention many a cabaret, and performances of church music in other venues.
